High School Scholarships

The New Mexico Broadcasters Association Foundation has teamed up with radio stations to provide high school students in communities across the state with scholarships to pursue apost-secondary education in New Mexico.

Stations across the state conduct an application and judging process and promote the scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is determined by the participating station. Applications for the scholarships are usually due the first week of April. Check with your favorite local station for more details!

Washington Broadcast Residency Program

The New Mexico Broadcasters Foundation is sponsoring New Mexico students to participate in a program that provides real-life experience reporting the news from the Capitol. The objective of the program is that by the end of the semester, undergraduates will have a greater understanding of government and how working journalists not only cover the news, but are a crucial component of a democratic system and promote media literacy.

The goal of the program is to continue the mission of the NMBA to broadcast information to New Mexicans while at the same time helping train the people who will be working in the industry tomorrow. More information
